All Torn Up!

new-paved-parkingApril 9, 2009 – Winter weather is FINALLY giving way to Spring and with it are signs that the More Hope Expansion project is on its way.  Construction has a HUGE impact on parking at Living Hope and more changes are on the way.  Work on the building pad – that’s leveling and preparing the area that the new facilities will actually be built upon – is underway.  Electrical lines and other utilities are being relocated and part of the new parking on the Holy Spirit property has been paved and striped spaces are now available.  Living Hope will lose its present traffic circulation pattern as pavement is broken up for the building pad and another big chunk of the lot will be used for a “lay-down area” for materials. Visit the parking page for a PDF file of the new parking area circulation pattern.

Patience and flexibility are the key words for the next 15 months of construction. This is what is needed from all Living Hopers:

  1. An understanding and gracious spirit as you deal with the parking/traffic flow challenges.
  2. Please follow the direction of the police officers and parking lot ministry servants as they get you on and off the church property in a timely manner.
  3. For those who are able-bodied, please use the parking spaces farthest away from the building and walk on the gravel pathways provided.  As you change parking habits, remember your sacrifice of convenience is your gift to our guests, young families, senior adults and the handicapped.
