Welcome from the Senior Pastor

Dr. Jason Pettus

These are truly exciting times at Living Hope Baptist Church!  Continued growth of our church led a scout team to propose relocation to another site many years ago.  God made available land on Lovers Lane and we set forth to build brand new facilities.  Several years ago, God led us to change direction and purchase the property next to us on Westen Street from Holy Spirit Catholic Church to expand our current facilities.

Stepping out in faith, Living Hopers committed to a three-year capital campaign called More Hope for More People.  The campaign recently concluded, receiving less than the amount pledged, but people continue to give to the God-honoring and God-inspired project of the expansion and those gifts are making a difference!

With these financial contributions, Living Hope has become debt-free on all it possesses, including our current facilities, the land on Lovers Lane AND the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (HSCC) property. The purchase of the HSCC property will provide our teenagers with their own worship and activity facility and expansion will save millions of dollars. This purchase also provided us with needed land for parking and for possible future facility additions.

New parking lots are nearing completion.  Now construction plans are going out for bid, which will provide exact costs for the new facilities.  After those bids are received from the contractors, we will be able to communicate this information to the Church regarding what we can realistically build right now.  We have an idea of what we need to provide for future growth, but the money we will have to responsibly invest in the building will determine exactly what we can build.  Once we know the costs for construction, we will share this information with the Church to seek affirmation of the membership.

Because of the faithful giving of tithes and sacrificial offering for new facilities, we are currently debt-free and in a good position financially.  Thank you people of Living Hope for making this possible!  We are looking forward to see how God will lead us on the road ahead.

With Hope,

Pastor Jason
